Hello Ladies the series ended with a feature length special. The writers stretched their legs a little, unfolding characters to their full extent, allowing them to explore emotions beyond the immediate and comedic. The music reflected this, and was mainly used to underscore the more emotional moments in the film. The director was looking to homage some of his favourite scores of the 1980’s, so we dipped into influences like the soundtrack to Bull Durham and – one of my personal favourites – Lethal Weapon.

Hello Ladies: The Movie was nominated for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Writing For A Limited Series, Movie or A Dramatic Special at the 2015 Emmys
